Everybody has so many images and ideas come into there mind everyday. How do we filter out and organize our minds.

This show is a direct reflection on my new studies in Textile Design and also the overwelming feeling that my mind is flooded. Im exploring the process between our thoughts and trying to visually capture my "Thought Bubbles"

 Melbourne Solo Show

"Light and Dark"

Myths are magic mirrors in which we can see the reflection of not just our own deepest hopes and fears but also those of people from the earliest times. Lying at the roots of much of our Literature, art and religion, myths represent the heritage of the worlds imagination.

This Group of work is made for my new show "Light and Dark". Held at the Beautiful Convent Gallery, the new works are based on Islamic/Asian and Iindian Myths. Using images and stories that are thousands of years old inspired these colourful and dramatic images.

Opening:  Sunday March 16th at 2.30pm - untill May 7th 2008

The Convent
7 Daly Street, Daylesford
3640 Victoria, Australia

The Linden Postcard Show is an open entry award exhibition featuring small contemporary art work in a variety of media and is open to all Australian residents. The exhibition, with a prize pool of over $11,000, has become a prominent event in the Australian cultural calendar and attracts hundreds of entries from all over the country as well as thousands of visitors. The Postcard Show, now in its 15th year and one of the only open entry award exhibitions left in Australia, derives its name from the tradition of selecting six works from each show to be reproduced and sold as Linden postcards. Lindens collection of 109 cards is currently on sale in the gallery.

Commissions

I am now accepting commissions for this year. Due to my work and exhibition commitments I only take on a few commissions each year.

Commissioning an artist can be a fantastic way of personalizing your art or creating a work of art on your relationship with your partner, family and friends. The process of a commission is fairly straight forward.  First and for most you need to really love the work! Don’t go to an abstract artist and ask for a realistic portrait.

Once you have established that you would like a piece done then please contact me for an appointment at the studio or if you are overseas or interstate we can have a chat on the phone.

We will discuss who is to be in the work, feeling and colours you would like to express and size and medium. We then sign an agreement from Arts law Australia, that pin points time lines and deposit paid-usually 50%.

You can choice to be as involved as you like in the creative process. Everybody gets a "half way" meeting, where I make sure I’m on the right track and then I can make changes if necessary. Once completed you pick up your work and pay the balance.

I have always had amazing experiences with this process and usually become good friends with the commissioners.
