Workshops for Councils, Festivals & Community Programs
I design and deliver printmaking and creative workshops for councils, festivals, schools, and community organisations across Victoria and Australia. Each program is tailored to support community engagement, creativity, and inclusive participation, with a focus on accessible, hands-on making.
Workshops can be adapted for festivals, public programs, schools, and funded arts initiatives, and are suitable for a wide range of participants, including beginners and diverse community groups.
Delivered in partnership with councils and organisations including Golden Plains Shire, Geelong Regional Libraries, and Moorabool Shire.
PRIVATE STUDIO WORKSHOPS
Private workshops are available for emerging artists and established artists needing some extra guidance and inspiration. Come with questions regarding professional development, finding your voice and a whole host of other creative topics that require some guidance.
Gift Cards!
Got a creative person in your life? Why not give them an art experience! Gift cards are redeemable for workshops or art/art products.
Workshops start at $50 and go up to $250, or they can also choice to have a private session of their choice.
Workshops are held at the artist studios, several rooms of decked out print/textile and general art supplies. Options are to also view available work, and a studio visit can be arranged at your convenience.

These one-on-one or small duo sessions are fully tailored to your interests and experience level. Whether you’re an experienced artist, a hobbyist, or a traveler looking for a truly authentic creative experience, you’ll be welcomed into a real working artist’s studio to explore, learn, and create.
With over 25 years’ experience, Samantha Thompson will guide you through materials, techniques, and approaches that suit your artistic goals—all in a relaxed, friendly, and inspiring setting.
Studio Highlights
The studio consists of two bright, art-filled rooms attached to a peaceful country home (private entry) nestled among trees and close to the vineyards and valleys of regional Victoria.
Room One: Painting & Drawing
Acrylic, oil, watercolour, and ink
Dry media including pastels, charcoal, pencils, etc.
Flexible, experimental and open-ended art-making
Room Two: Printmaking & Inspiration
A professional print room with a large press
Linocut, monoprint, and etching facilities
Inking table, drying racks, and a curated library of art books
Acrylic, ink-based, and etching inks all available
Room Three: Textiles & Inspiration
A textile room full on all types of textiles and yarn
A sowing machine

Sessions are private and limited to a maximum of 2 participants. Great for individuals, friends, or parent/child pairs.
Location
The studio is located in Lethbridge, a quiet country town nestled between Geelong and Ballarat (approx. 90 minutes from Melbourne CBD). Please note: you’ll need a car, as public transport is limited to just three buses per day.
You’ll be surrounded by local wineries, scenic nature walks, and rolling valleys—a perfect backdrop for a creative retreat.

Samantha Thompson is an award-winning multidisciplinary artist and regional arts advocate with a career spanning over two decades. Known for her welcoming, fun approach and deep knowledge of materials and techniques, Samantha loves helping people explore their creativity and confidence in a supportive, laughter-filled environment.
