This work interrogates the still life as a site of control and containment. A vase—typically a vessel of order—tips, releasing its contents into a state of suspension and disarray. Familiar floral forms dissolve into abstraction; colour fades into subdued, melancholic tones.

Through this deliberate rupture, the work explores themes of perception, emotional fragility, and the tension between inner and outer worlds. It questions the aesthetics of composure—what we choose to reveal, what remains hidden, and how imbalance can offer its own visual and psychological depth.

Rather than striving for harmony, Vase and Flowers invites the viewer to consider collapse as transformation, and disorder as a form of quiet resistance
