Vibration station is a visual representation of the tingles and goose bumps I feel when I’m experiencing, or about to experience live art.  Music, performance, a great work of art all has that ability. For the last couple years my professional practice has been focused on play for adults, and in many ways, I’ve had the chance to observe and study the transformation. The invitation to play, or experience something new, the anticipation and excitement builds, you can see it on people’s faces, and excited smirk. The experience, full bodied and transformative, a release of pleasure and freedom. The afterglow, when the experience has finished yet the feelings are still so fresh, and people get the jitters or remember a deeply held memory. This is what great art does, and this is what I’ve tried to capture in vibration station. The Journey of souls, we vibrate together in anticipation.
