What’s it all about?
Come and explore the vibrant world of dry pastels in this fun and relaxed workshop. You’ll learn basic colour mixing techniques, get comfortable with sketching, and create your own A4 portrait—of yourself, a loved one, or even a beloved pet!
No experience needed—just bring your curiosity. You’ll be guided step-by-step and everyone will go home with a finished pastel artwork. Please bring a couple images of person or animal you would like to capture.
What’s included:
All materials supplied (professional-grade pastels and high-quality paper)
Hands-on guidance in sketching and pastel blending
Time to create and complete a unique A4 portrait
Small group setting:
Maximum 5 participants (minimum 2 required to run)
Who is it for?
Absolutely anyone aged 10 and up!
Perfect for beginners, creative explorers, or artists wanting to try dry pastel without the need for a big investment in supplies. All are welcome.
Make a day of it:
You're in the country—why not explore a little? Take a scenic walk or visit one of the region’s award-winning wineries for a delicious lunch. Check out Lethbridge Wines, Austin Wines, or Clyde Park—all nearby. Or make a weekend of it and stay in Ballarat or Geelong.
